Safe Cities
With decades of experience in public safety, Harold Collins understands what it takes to keep Shelby County safe. As the former Deputy Director of Corrections, Executive Director of the Office of Reentry, and a 12-year veteran of the District Attorney’s Office, he has led the charge in reducing crime and violence among our youth, expanding programs to help incarcerated individuals successfully reintegrate into society, and strengthening neighborhood watch programs across the county.
As Shelby County Mayor, Harold will build on the progress made in crime reduction while implementing bold strategies to keep our young people on the right path and out of the justice system. They include being laser FOCUSED on intervention with our youth through mentoring and employment. Restoration of those formerly incarcerated through programming and job training to ensure they become contributors to Shelby County.
